Pages per day

Formula with your numbers

Remaining = 480 - 60 = 420. Study days = floor(28 / 7 x 6) = 24. Per day = 420 / 24 = 17.5.

The finish date is an estimate and does not account for holidays.

Finishing a book or a syllabus on time is easier with a daily target. Enter the total pages, how many you have finished and how many days you have, and the calculator shows the daily amount. Switch direction to enter your daily pace and see how many days you need.

How This Calculator Works

With a deadline: study days = floor(days / 7 x study days per week), with a minimum of 1, and pages per day = remaining pages / study days. For example, 480 pages with 60 done, 28 days and 6 study days a week leaves 420 pages over 24 study days, which is 17.5 pages a day (aim for 18). With a pace: study days needed = ceil(remaining / pages per day), and calendar days = ceil(study days needed / study days per week x 7). For example, 420 pages at 20 a day over 6 days a week needs 21 study days, about 25 calendar days.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I leave extra days at the end?

Yes. Enter a deadline a few days earlier than the real one, so revision or a missed day does not break the plan.

Does it work for chapters or syllabus topics?

Yes. Switch the unit, but remember chapters differ in length, so treat the result as a rough guide.

How is the finish date worked out?

From today's date and your study days per week. It is an estimate and does not account for holidays.
